I disagree with Neil De Grasse Tyson

Science is not " truth " !

Its a method of human inquiry that yields testable results that are useful for creating technology and even help cure a small percentage of chronic illnesses .

The only " truth " if any is the consciousness in which science is a particular system of thought. No system of thought - science philosophy , theology or religion gives us access to reality or truth . Only going to the source of thought itself can we get a clue to the nature of existence .

Science cannot teach me to love, have compassion , joy , equanimity or show me the meaning or why of existence .

I'm conversing / debating Shermer again in last week of September in NYC . Tyson etc will be there . Would love to have you join .
